A little about me

I’m Efrain


I was born and raised in Atlanta with Mexican roots, and I’ve been chasing moments through a lens for as long as I can remember. In 2022, my partner Javier and I made Idaho home, where I’ve found myself woven into a vibrant Latino community. As a member of the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, an ambassador for the Idaho Hispanic Foundation, and a collaborator with Boise LatinX Pride, I’m grateful to create in spaces that reflect my culture, identity, and the stories that shaped me.

Love for travel & Nature


In 2021, I took a cross‑country road trip through places like Shawnee National Forest and Yellowstone—time I dedicated to self‑exploration, inner work, and reconnecting with my love for photography. Being on the road reshaped the way I see light, color, and energy. Since then, I’ve made it a priority to travel whenever I can, with Tulum, Mexico becoming one of my favorite places to recharge and create.

Culture & identity


Being Latino with a Mexican background has always influenced the way I move through the world, and embracing my queer identity added another layer to how I see and create. These experiences give me a unique perspective—one rooted in culture, resilience, and authenticity. I’m proud to bring that into my work and to collaborate on projects that uplift and celebrate the communities I’m part of.

Interesting Fact


In addition to being a photographer, I serve as a wellness manager at Vitalistic Wellness Institute. My work in wellness has shaped my creative approach—reminding me to be present, to listen, and to create an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves. It’s a big part of why my photography focuses so much on energy, emotion, and authenticity.
